How many questions did you rate 8 or higher?
__________
How many questions were rated 5-7?
__________
How many questions were 4 or below?
__________
What your score means?
The key to feeling satisfied is how you define
each life area and how you define satisfaction.
Do you want every area to be at a mid-range number
and balanced? Do you have some questions below
4 that would point to areas for coaching or individual
work? Do you have some questions over 8 where
you could back off and give attention to other
life areas?
There is a myth alive and well. This myth says
we need to be totally balanced in all these areas
at once. I heard Maria Schriver say once that
her mother's advice was to look at life balance
over your entire life. Early years may be focused
on career building and/or family. Later years
may allow time for more self-care. Overall, how
do YOU feel about the mix in your life?
One client who told me if his work satisfaction
is over 8, he focuses on spending time with his
family to attain balance. I also heard a client
once say that her partner relationship was a zero
since she had none, but that was all right for
now. So perhaps a low score does not mean you
need to take action now.
The most important point is that you need to
be making CHOICES that honor who you are and who
you are becoming--your values. Every new YES means
you probably need to say NO to something else.
What would you like to say YES to in your life?
From what perspective are you looking at your
life and your time? How do you define satisfaction?
Where could a Spiritual Coach assist you
to focus and shift?
