STRETCH YOUR MIND & CREATE YOUR FUTURE
First, we all know that despite what our five
senses tell us, the earth is not flat.
Second, we learned in school that even though
it looks like the sun is circling us, the scientific
truth is the opposite. And finally we realize
our earth that appears stationary in space and
is, in fact, rotating at an incredible speed.
So why are we living our lives based on a scientific
lie? Our senses tell us that the table in front
of us is solid. They tell us our body is solid
and constant. However, the scientific truth is
that material objects are really non-material.
As Deepak Chopra says, "The stuff of our
world is non-stuff."
Quantum physics was discovered in 1900 by Max
Planck. Why are we still operating with outmoded
Newtonian physics as our basis? Still teaching
Newton in Physics Class? First, it is easier to
imagine a world of matter as our senses tell us.
Plus it is a mental and emotional stretch to envision
a world where we are each responsible for what
we see and create.
For another thing, as Bruce Lipton describes
in The Biology of Belief, most of our "modern"
medical knowledge is based on Newtonian physics.
The idea that the body is a bio-mechanical object
that can be "fixed" by replacing a broken
piece or by introducing a chemical to alter some
chemical reaction. Another example of the laws
of matter is the belief that we need to work hard
to create wealth.
The reality of quantum physics teaches us that
the objects that appear solid are really subatomic
particles (fluctuations of energy and information)
moving at extremely high speeds through a void.
So basically our world is made up of empty space
that we experience as matter.
In Magical Body, Magical Mind, Deepak Chopra,
explains our thoughts create our physical machine-both
mind and body. Our body's cells are totally new
every year. So we are simply re-creating the body
in the same image as last year (or not) based
on our thoughts. He says, "If you want to
know what your past thoughts were, look at your
body. If you want to know what your future body
will be, look at your current thoughts."
For me the value of Quantum physics is that it
gives us the power to create our bodies and our
lives all over again. We already have been doing
exactly that. Now with an understanding of some
laws, we can take conscious control of our futures
in every way.
CREATE YOUR LIFE
So the first step is to accept that our thoughts
create our reality. For the person who thinks
and says, "My boss is a pain in my neck,"
we're not surprised his body creates neck pain.
So what thoughts do you repeat in your mind and
speak? What do you choose to create?
Secondly, the real power of creation is the feeling
state. So what can you feel excited about, in
love with, or peaceful about? I coach my career
clients to list all the features they now know
about their next job. If there is something unknown,
just ignore it for now. Then I ask them to imagine
that they are getting up in the morning to go
to this job. How does it feel: exciting, challenging?
Now stay with the feeling for 20-30 seconds. (And
stay away from focusing on what we do not know
about the next job.) This is the place of creation.
This works for anything you want in your life.
LET GO
The next step is sometimes a challenge. Because
we want to know how something is going to work
and what is coming next, we are not always patient
with waiting for the Universe to bring us the
desired goal. At this point we need to detach
from our ideas of the future and allow it to be.
The other challenge here is to trust the process.
I am in the midst of a major change in my work.
I know the next level of coaching is on its way.
However, I frequently have to remind myself to
trust. Simply waiting and being open to the process
is best.
And when the opportunities that come to us are
not what we imagine, it is even more important
to trust the process and be open to a new look.
This refers to the old joke about the man caught
in a flood and trapped on the roof who asked God
to save him. When a boat came, he refused transport
because he said God would come for him. When a
helicopter hovered over him, he waved them off.
And as you know when he asked God why didn't you
save me, God said I sent a boat and a helicopter,
what more did you want. So
let go of your
notion of how it will look and be open to options
and nudges to try this or that. The result may
be better than ever imagined.
STOP JUDGING
One of the best steps to creating with modern
physics is to stop judging. As Deepak Chopra explains
our judging, evaluation, analyzing or things as
good or bad creates a shutting down of possibilities.
The more we can stay in the role of observer and
in the spacef of just noticing what is, the more
we can see possibilities and openings everywhere
and then open up the flow of the energy.
We never really know what is bad or good from
our limited perspective. Once I received a notice
from IRS and not being a regular meditator at
that; time, I reacted with fear. Interesting enough,
it turned out that when I checked it out, I was
due money, not the opposite. So it was really
a cosmic notice to claim my funds due. Who knew
IRS could be good news?
SILENT WITNESS
For years we have heard the power of positive
thinking. I have even written about it in past
newsletters. Deepak Chopra has taken my thinking
to a new level. He says positive is better than
negative, but the silent witness perspective is
above both the positive and the negative. The
observer knows that anything that happens just
is. When we stay in the place of not judging,
we can be free to move on more quickly to the
next thing that just is. We are not a leaf blowing
in the wind of "good" experiences or
"bad" experiences.
I am not encouraging you to disallow your emotional
reactions to events at all. Be in touch with your
emotions, they are real. And they are energy just
like your thoughts. So observing the emotions
and thoughts will allow both to move on and change.
Getting stuck in an unforgiving thought or an
angry emotion can only harm your mind/body.
So what are the steps to manifestation according
to Deepak Chopra?
1. Recognize you are the creator of all your
experiences.
2. Be self-referral (focused on your idea of you
coming from the inside not outside).
3. Do not create boundaries-stop judging, analyzing,
evaluating, or classifying things. Accept that
things just are.
4. Be established in being, not doing. Desire
and let go with confidence and trust. Cosmic Intelligence
will take over the details.
5. Let go of your ideas of how things should be
because you don't know the big picture.
6. Seek bliss or joy for yourself and others.
