IT'S ALL AN INSIDE JOB

Last month I talked about the importance of observing your thoughts so you can potentially change the ones that no longer serve you. We also discussed neutralizing your negative put downs of yourself or judgments of others. Now this month: how to shift to positive thoughts.

NOW BECOME POSITIVE

Once you have observed the thoughts and caught the negative limiting ones with a neutral shift, it is simple to add (as in our driving example last month) a quick blessing for the drivers safety or a prayer for any other drivers in his path home. This begins the "sea change" to a positive vision of the person or the situation.

"I'm grateful for the traffic because it shows me how I can improve." "I appreciate my co-worker who gave me insight into my behavior when she reacted with frustration as I sometimes do." Suddenly your perspective is not as a human going through daily grind, but as a divine creature who can see a bigger picture. You see your experiences as lessons. You see others behaviors as their stuff being worked out or as indicators of some of your own stuff.

The final move in thinking is to be grateful for all our "ups and downs" and make them all lessons or food for thought. They become lessons and not a mallet to bang to use on your own head.

Gratitude is the place from which to create whatever you want in the world. When we feel grateful for all people and experiences, we can begin to use this feeling as the fuel to manifest our desires.

INSIDE JOB

Both modern spirituality and quantum physics teaches us that thought is energy and can create the energy of physical objects. "Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind." This means that a thought is really a prayer for something, and it will be answered. I decided several weeks ago that I wanted an ergonomically correct snow shovel but I really did not want to buy one. Within a fews weeks, I had one from my in-laws without any purchase required.

This manifesting is the real reason for "synchronicity". We believe things magically appear and actually we've created them with our thoughts. When I traveled out of town to a golf tournament, I forgot my eye drops. I was determined the next day to find a drug store and buy some. On the way to the car that evening, I found a bottle of perfectly good eye drops on the ground.

So now that you know you create with your thoughts. It's even more important to go back and learn to observe your thoughts and change them to neutral or positives ones. Right?

So you can either simply play with this ability and create parking spots or you can stretch and set daily intentions (as mentioned in the movie "What the Bleep") and step into creating your future. I set daily intentions and take some time to imagine how a specific meeting is going to progress.

I decided to raise the rent on my townhome. So I imagined just how I would like the meeting to go. We'd both be happy and surrounded by a circle of loving light. We'd agree with no problems. When I actually met, my tenant began by saying she had already told her husband they should pay me more. We ended up sharing mutual appreciation for each other-a moment of love.

A client of mine used her power of imagination and intention to not only do a great presentation at year end but to have most of her budget & staffing requests approved .

BOTTOM LINE

Everything happening in your life is a result of your beliefs and thoughts. They may not be conscious ones, and you are still the master creator in your life. So if you want to change the way you are treated or the experiences you have, CHANGE YOU. It's so simple and yet an age-old truth. Clients ask me if I coach relationships. I answer truthfully that if we work together on YOU making changes, the relationship will change. And since you can't change another person, making your own revisions in beliefs and thoughts is the only game in town.

So what's the process to create? Simply list in as much detail as possible what you want and add to it as you are inspired. Then focus daily on your list and FEEL what you will feel when you have what you want. I used this approach to find a job in 1986. I used the same approach to find a relationship.

And finally, how do you change your beliefs when you sometimes are not even aware of them? First, a coach or another OBJECTIVE person who is a good listener can assist you to uncover them. Then I suggest using an energy psychology like PSYCH-K TM to shift them to positive beliefs.

See last month's or other newsletter articles or web site or call me for more information.

I am a Psych-K TM practitioner and always offer a complimentary first session.

Information on Psych-K TM see other articles in this newsletter or my web site.
